Dental Genetics

     The Genomics and Precision Dentistry Research Unit (GPDRU) in collaboration with the Center of Excellence for Medical Genomics, Chulalongkorn University, has integrated Medicine, Dentistry, Biological Science, and Engineering to study and provide services for patients with connective tissue disorders and oro-dental diseases including brittle bone diseases, skin disorders, cleft palate, tooth structure anomalies, tooth agenesis, supernumerary teeth, gingivitis, and periodontitis which affect oral and physical health and quality of life.

     Our research team has worked towards the discovery of novel knowledge, disseminating research findings, and expanding high-quality researches in genomics and health care. The research team actively involves in Multiomics including genomics, microbiome, proteome, and transcriptome and investigate molecular pathogenesis of diverse oro-dental and connective tissues disorders. Our target is to enhance Precision Medicine and Dentistry in the management of genetic disorders and newly emerging and re-emerging diseases and to ensure that precise diagnosis, prognosis, and personalized medical care are delivered to patients in a timely manner to improve their quality of life and minimize the risk of disease recurrence.
